There are currently no restrictions for the Accounts that allow an NFC to be paired, although this may be subject to change.

Android devices can read a broad range of NFC types as they are, without any special formatting required. 

iOS devices usually have a far more limited range in NFC types that can be read. For the supported iOS devices that have background scanning, the NFC must contain custom data prepared by Aamica.
